None of the ten portals exposed an API. Every collection cycle was manual, error-prone and impossible to scale, and adding a new insurer meant another spreadsheet process for the operations team.

The approach

Built headless browser bots that authenticate, navigate and extract payment statuses
Designed a pluggable portal framework (Factory, Strategy, Template Method) so new portals are configuration
Implemented distributed session management with Redis across concurrent workers
Deployed event-driven microservices on Cloud Run with Pub/Sub, BigQuery and Terraform
